The 28 winning teams of the 50 Years Together in Diversity School Competition were in Brussels from 21 to 23 March 2008. The Museum of Europe offered a programme that included visits at "It’s Our History" exhibition and Mini-Europe, and also a tour of Brussels.

School competition: Winners announced |
European Schoolnet and the Museum of Europe are pleased to announce the winners of the 50 Years Together in Diversity School Competition. On 6 February 2008, the jury - which is composed of experts from the Museum of Europe and European Schoolnet - finalised the evaluation process. The competition prizes consist of a group trip to Brussels to visit the European Parliament and the exhibition “It's our history”, between 21 and 23 March 2008. The trip is sponsored by the Museum of Europe.

50 Years Together in Diversity: Finalists announced |
The finalist schools of the 50 Years Together in Diversity School Competition have been selected out of 452 entries representing almost all European countries. The jury, which consists of experts from Museum of Europe and European Schoolnet, will select one winning team from each participating country. The winners will be invited to Brussels to visit the European Parliament and the exhibition “It's our history”. The exhibition is organised by the Museum of Europe that will welcome the winners to Brussels between 21 and 23 March 2008.

The 50 Years Together in Diversity competition closed on 31 December 2007. We would like to inform the participants that the competition entries are currently being evaluated in two stages that are scheduled from 1 January to 15 February 2008.

Bringing Europe’s 50th birthday to schools |
On 3 September 2007, in partnership with the Museum of Europe, European Schoolnet launched the “50 Years Together in Diversity” school competition that aims to raise awareness about European cultural values, the milestones of European integration and the 50 years of unity in diversity. The competition is intended to enhance and support European citizenship education in schools, in the year when the European Union celebrates its 50th anniversary.
