Concurso escolar: Los ganadores de Bruselas

Los equipos de estudiantes y sus profesores responsables, que se alojaron en albergues juveniles, tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar Bruselas a su gusto. El Museo de Europa patrocinó el viaje y brindaron su ayuda a los grupos de visitantes antes y durante su viaje.

El sábado 22 de marzo de 2008, los ganadores se encontraron en Tour & Taxi, donde el Museo de Europa había organizado la exposición "Es nuestra Historia". El Sr. Freddy Thielemans, alcalde de Bruselas, dio la bienvenida a todos los invitados en nombre de las autoridades belgas.

El Museo de Europa otorgó tres premios a las tres mejores composiciones visuales:

• Primer premio: Italia, Liceo Artistico Statale De Chirico, Roma (Ver el vídeo)
• Segundo premio: Lituania, Didždvario gimnazija, Šiauliai (Ver el vídeo)
• Tercer premio: Estonia, Tallinna Tõnismäe Reaalkool and Jakob Westholmi Gümnaasium, Tallinn (Ver el vídeo)

Petru Dumitru, coordinador del concurso, en nombre de la Oficina de European Schoolnet, ofreció una visión panorámica del concurso y presentó la campaña de Primavera de Euroopa 2008 a los participantes (Presentación PPT).

The winning teams shared traditional food and drinks they brought from their countries. They felt part of a European family that celebrated what is different and embraced what is similar in their cultures. Karl Piaty, an Austrian teacher who accompanied his winning team, told us: “We thank the Museum of Europe and European Schoolnet for having us in Brussels this week-end. The trip was an opportunity to visit the capital of the European Union. We have spent unforgettable moments here and our students were delighted to meet peers from other Member States. I have just found out that this is the first trip abroad for many of the students that attend the event”.

The “50 Years Together in Diversity” school competition was organised by European Schoolnet on behalf of the Museum of Europe. European Schoolnet (EUN) is an international partnership of 28 ministries of education in Europe, providing major European education portals for teaching, learning and school collaboration. The Museum of Europe is a non-profit association that is jointly chaired by two former Belgian Ministers of State, Ms Antoinette Spaak and Mr. Karel Van Miert, former Vice-President of the European Commission.
